Getting Lippy with Lord & Berry

Have you heard of Lord & Berry? They're a brand I've only ever encountered in beauty box subscriptions such as Birchbox so I was actually really surprised when I did a little research and discovered that the likes of Selfridges, Boots, Look Fantastic and even Asos stocked them. They don't seem to be a brand that's talked about very often in the beauty community, so when I was sent 3 of their lip products to try I had no idea what to expect!

The 20100 Crayon Lipsticks* caught my eye immediately, as they instantly reminded me of the NARS lip pencils which I've been desperate to try. Retailing for £10 each they're considerably cheaper the NARS crayons and although I can't say whether or not the 20100 Crayon Lipsticks are dupes I can happily say that the they are are wonderful products in their own right! And better yet, Boots are currently selling them for half price so they're an absolute steal at £5 each! I never expected to be this impressed, mainly because I hadn't heard much about them or the brand before, but the application was so easy and comfortable due to the super creamy formula and I found them to be long-lasting, highly pigmented (especially the bolder shade) and not drying at all on the lips!  I was sent 2 shades, Vintage Pink and Fuchsia, which you can see applied to my lips below.

Strangely enough, the shade I thought I'd love the most is actually the one I like the least from my duo. Vintage Pink is a pretty, creamsicle light pink which I automatically assumed would be my favourite but I actually can't get over how much I love Fuchsia once it's on the lips! Both shades are very pigmented and cover my naturally red lips well and they're also very easy to apply straight from the bullet. They're not transfer proof by any means but they don't fade as quickly as a lot of my other satin lipsticks and when I remove them at the end of the day my lips still feel lightly moisturised and soft! I love the pencil design of the 20100 Crayon Lipsticks too as it makes defining the cupid's bow really easy!
Ultimate Lip Liner Rusty

Alongside my Lipsticks I was also sent an Ultimate Lip Liner in Rusty*, a deep brown-nude shade. I adore the colour - it feels very 90s inspired - and although it might not be something I reach for a lot in Summer I know I'll get a lot of use out of it during the colder months. The Ultimate Lip Liners are quite stiff, and a little bit drying when applied all over the lips, so definitely one to miss if you have very dry lips. I usually suffer quite a bit with chapped lips so they weren't ideal for me, as you can probably see a bit in the swatch below it clung to any dry patches I had, but with a balm or a moisturizing lipstick added over the top you can definitely make them work. However, there definitely is a positive side of a less creamy liner and the staying power on Rusty was amazing. It survived through eating and drinking and when it did begin to fade it faded very evenly. The Ultimate Lip Liners retail for £9, but again you can pick them up in Boots right now for only £4.50!

Have you tried anything from Lord & Berry? I'd love to know what other products are worth picking up, especially as they are currently half price at Boots!
